Drawing on experience and knowledge of the finest techniques and textures, the Sahrai Design Studio, under the guidance of Rana & Ramine Sahrai, combines traditional elements with new styles, adapting them to textures, dimensions, shapes, and colour combinations. Each rug is the result of a meticulous production process, carried out entirely in the Sahrai Ateliers by master craftsmen. The creation of a single piece requires over one hundred stages, from material selection to finishing, contributing to the exclusivity of Sahrai Luxury Rugs, capable of bringing refinement to any modern and contemporary living environment.
“As citizens of the world, we have combined the know-how linked to the art of rug knotting, born in the East – where we were born – with the elegance of Western interior design, where we live today, to serve the global interior world with our handmade rugs,” says Ramine Sahrai. And what is the Western “touch” that leads to new creative developments? It is the contemporary and modern approach embodied in the new textures of the Sahrai collections.

The collaboration with Marco Piva brings emotional, fluid, and functional creations to Sahrai’s Designers Selection. Entitled “Cave”, each creation tells a story, playing with light and colour, tone and shade.
Marco Piva’s designs are an expression of sophistication made possible by the high quality of materials — wool and silk — combined with the excellent weaving techniques of Sahrai’s artisans. A combination of Marco Piva’s truly extraordinary designs and Sahrai’s years of experience and expertise brings true functional works of art into contemporary homes.
The Marco Piva collection is just one of the innovations that have contributed to enriching Sahrai’s heritage, a legacy that is renewed day after day in a continuous exchange between past and present, places and people. Hence the slogan “Heritage Forever”, which accompanies the new exhibition concept in the temporary showroom in Via Manzoni 38, Milan.
